Photography in the Garden:
                    Two workshops for Gardeners

If you've ever been frustrated in your attempt to make good photographs of your favorite flower, plant, or garden, then here are two workshops for you.Creating good photographs isn't an accident -- it is the result of understanding how cameras and their accessories work, and lots of practice!

This course is designed for novice photographers and will cover the basic techniques of photographing in the garden and using  simple studio techniques for photographing flower arrangements.Through a combination of evening classroom instruction and practical hands-on field trips, you will learn how to make excellent photographs for display, entering competitions, or just for your personal photo album.

Your Instructor:Doug Jones is an accomplished landscape photographer and teacher. He willguide you through the basics of how to get the most out of your existingcamera. He will demonstrate with slide shows, provide useful written guides,and coach you individually in the field.

Class Schedule:   Each workshop will consist of  two 2-hour evening classes                                                        on Thursday and Monday, and one full-day Saturday field                                        trip.   

          Workshop 1 -- Garden Photography      

          Workshop Dates: June 5, 7 and 9   


          Workshop 2 -- Photographing Flower Arrangements
                                                  and Potted Plants      

          Workshop dates: TBA

       Course fee:  $55 for each course, $95 for both.

Participants will supply their own camera, film, and film processing. Workshops are limited to 10 participants to ensure individual coaching and instruction.
